Every summer sailing is at the top of my to do list. So, in preparation for this, I booked a trip in advance for June . I chose to go with friends and we decided to visit some of the wonderful islands of Cyclades

We visited Mykonos, Kythnos, Dilos, Kea and Siros.

What I enjoy most on  my vacations are  secluded and isolated beaches and therefore I would highly recommend Kythnos and Kea as the ideal islands for relaxation.

Out of all the islands we visited, Mykonos Town is by far the most glamorous and well known island for its summer party atmosphere. This fabulous place lying between Tinos, Siros, Paros and Naxos is the perfect destination for tourists who want to enjoy something that looks like St-Tropez style and its party-hard character.

We visited Kalo Livadi, Nammos, Ornos, Psarou and we went for drinks at Scorpios and Scandinavia. What we enjoyed most was dancing at Nammos beach whilst the sun was setting!

Siros was a lot quieter and absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend Siros to anyone seeking a bit of peace and quiet, even during the busier months, and for a true island experience. Kea, also known as Gia was a real surprise to me, especially given the size of the island I did not expect much.

I couldn’t resist spending the whole day on this serene island’s golden sandy beaches and exploring the beautiful sea caves.

The perception that sailing in Greece is one of the most expensive leisure activities in summer is wrong.  Sailing is by far the most low budget way of having holiday in Greece. If you would like more info about this do inbox me! I would be more than happy to help!
