Hambourg
When in doubt, travel!
Weekend
This is from a few weekends ago in Hamburg between having a boat tour and visiting Saint Nicolas church. The surroundings of the city provide abundant opportunities for biking, walking and boat tours and make it easy to enjoy any activity.
- At first, I was surprised but then I think I have just gotten used to every square in Hamburg being surrounded by canals. In fact, the many rivers, streams and canals that are crossed by more than 2,000 bridges exceed these of London, Amsterdam and Venice put together. My favourite spot here was The Botanischer Garten Hamburg, a modern botanical garden at the heart of the city. The surroundings of the city provide abundant opportunities for biking, walking and boat tours and make it easy to enjoy any activity.
- I also had the chance to see on a boat tour the port of Hamburg, the Warehouse district and the City Hall. The highlight of our trip was taking a break to relax at the amazing wet and dry spa facilities of Marriott Hotel. The hydro spa, steam room & the amazing swimming pool were some of my favourite ones!
